Sebastian Police Department Honors Dollar General Employee

Debbie Hovasse of Sebastian receives a Citizens Certificate of Appreciation award by the Sebastian Police Department.

Hovasse, who works at a Dollar General in Sebastian, has looked after customers who were almost victims of a scam.

These customers would go into Dollar General trying to purchase Google Play cards and other cards to send as payment to scammers.

During one incident, Hovasse told the customer to hang up the phone while she was talking with one of the scammers.

You can read more about it from our recent Dollar General saves woman from scam article.
