Sebastian Police Asking People to Avoid Gilbert Street

The Sebastian Police Department is asking residents to avoid Gilbert Street in Sebastian.

Lt. Timothy Wood said the area is an “active scene” and is urging everyone to avoid the area.

Residents in the area should stay in their houses.

At around 8:32 a.m., neighbors say police arrived with heavy gear and bulletproof vests. The road is blocked at this time.
