Friends of Councilman Damien Gilliams are telling people on Facebook that anyone who signs the recall petition next week will be in a civil lawsuit. This also corresponds with what Gilliams wrote in his response to the recall last Friday. However, the courts and a judge have no authority over elections or recall.

Crab Stop Owners Ellis Buckner has been arrested again on two counts of battery. This is the second arrest in nearly a week after more female employees came forward and filed complaints with police. Ellis Buckner is innocent until proven guilty.
