SEBASTIAN – A local couple who have lived in Sebastian for more than 30 years are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Tom and Phyllis Ingrao are parents of three daughters and are great-grandparents to eight!
“Grandma just turned 90 this past Saturday, and grandpa is going on 91,” Peace Sanchez Russell, their granddaughter, told Sebastian Daily.
Tom was in the Navy, a pharmacist, wood craftsman, and a painter. He also played sax, mandolin, and banjo in The Big Bands in Sebastian for many years.
Phyllis makes her family holidays special. She loves Frank Sinatra and reading. Together, they have traveled all over the world. They also still love to dance together.
“One day they met on a train in Brooklyn, and here we are today, 70 years of marriage later,” the granddaughter said.
They still attend San Sebastian Church and love to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s and Chili’s.
“70 years is a very long time, and they are still so in love. We are truly blessed,” Peace Sanchez Russell added.
Happy Anniversary Tom and Phyllis!
