The Gulf Stream Council Scouting America Food Collection will be on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Scouting for Food is the largest community service project hosted by the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America. Each year, they collect more than 150,000 pounds of food, which is donated to those in need in our very own communities.
How it works:
On Saturday, November 1, 2025, Scouts and their families delivered door hangers asking that you fill a grocery bag with non-perishable items and place it outside your doorstep by Friday night or by 7:30 am on Saturday, November 8, 2025, for pickup.
Then, on Saturday, November 8th, starting at 8:00 a.m., the Scouts will return to collect all donations. Next, they will drop off all donations to their specific local food pantries. This will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
They will be collecting:
- Canned Goods
- Rice
- Pasta
- Powdered Milk
- Cereal
- Dry Goods
- Non-Perishable items
With food insecurity impacting over 34 million Americans, including 9 million children, the Scouting for Food drive provides vital support to local pantries and residents across Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, and Palm Beach counties. For more information, visit gulfstreamcouncil.org/SFF.
