Robin Phillips, the Founder of the Richard Phillips Down Biker Fund, could use some community support as she faces health issues. In April of 2017, Phillips created the Richard Phillips Down Biker Fund to help victims or their family members with their immediate needs, following a catastrophic accident.

Phillips has helped so many families in our community, including mine, on a couple of occasions, following a fatal motorcycle crash, and a catastrophic crash. Now, it is our turn to pay it forward.

“Now that I have spoken to my family and did a little digesting of my news from the Dr., I will now share it. I will be having an MRI on June 25, one of my kidneys has a lot of cysts, one that looks suspicious and he thinks it might be cancer. If it is, they will start cancer treatment,” Phillips told Sebastian Daily.

“Hopefully, it is not, and if not, they will do the surgery for removal of the giant stones on June 26. The wait is going to be the longest and hardest part. Prayers are much appreciated,” Phillips added.

She has been there for so many families. And like most givers, she is having a hard time accepting help for herself. So, her friends and family members have put together this poker run.

Poker Run – Vehicles & Bikes Welcome

The Charity Poker Run for Robin Phillips will be June 13, 2020, at 9:00 am, starting at The Broken Spoke Western Saloon in Fellsmere, where they will be offering breakfast sandwiches and bloody marys. Broken Spoke Bar is located at 130 N Broadway St., in Fellsmere.

The 1st official poker run stop will be at Sanity Jewelry, along with the Old Fish House. They will be cooking up hotdogs and brats for lunch, and proceeds will be going to Robin. They will also have cold beverages, of course.

The 2nd stop will be upstairs at Lous Blues Bar & Grill, located at 3191 N Highway A1A in Indialantic. The 3rd location will be the Slingers Sports Bar, located in West Melbourne at 3122 W New Haven Ave.

The Poker Run will conclude with entertainment and raffles at Camp Holly Airboat Rides, located at 6901 US Highway 192, also in Melbourne.

Please come out and support this great cause if you are able. For additional information, visit the Poker Run for Robin Lane Facebook page.
