The City of Sebastian is preparing for an unforgettable Fourth of July with its annual Freedom Festival, hosted by the City of Sebastian, the Lions Club of Sebastian, and the Sebastian Masonic Lodge.
The annual festival promises a day of patriotic pride, family-friendly fun, and cherished traditions. From a lively parade to toe-tapping live music and a dazzling fireworks finale, this year’s event will bring the community together.
Freedom Festival Schedule of Events
- 8:30 am | Patriotic Parade – Starting near the Community Center at Davis St. and Central Ave. The procession will wind its way down Indian River Drive, culminating at the scenic Riverview Park.
- 10:00 am – 11:00 am | Hula Hoop Contest – Get ready to spin into fun at the Hula Hoop Contest, held in Riverview Park.
- 10:00 am to 8:00 pm | Beer Sales at the Beer Concession
- 11:00 am – 3:00 pm | Live Music: Collins & Company (Break 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm)
- 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm | Balloon Toss Contest
- 3:00 pm – 3:45 pm | Watermelon Contest
- 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm | Karaoke Contest with Russ Garner – Sing your heart out for a chance to win the $50 grand prize or the $20 second-place prize. Whether you’re belting out a patriotic anthem or a pop hit, the crowd is sure to cheer you on.
- 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm | Live Music: Chemistry Band
- 9:00 pm | Fireworks (Twin Piers)
