2 Boats Catch Fire Following Explosion In Micco

MICCO – Brevard County officials are still investigating a fire that caused two boats to go up in flames following an explosion in Micco.

Barefoot Bay residents living near Micco Road alerted authorities at around 8:17 a.m. about a fire inside a fenced in a storage facility.

A witness told Sebastian Daily that they heard an explosion this morning and then saw smoke.

Another resident stated she was riding by the facility and saw a pontoon boat on fire.

Two boats were up in flames by the time the fire department arrived.
