A driver was killed in a head-on collision on County Road 510 (90th Avenue) near Sebastian River High School on Monday afternoon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. after a northbound pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with a southbound vehicle.
The accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. when a northbound pickup truck crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle heading southbound, the FHP said.
The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to Sebastian River Medical Center for medical attention.
Following the collision, County Road 510 was shut down in both directions between Sebastian River High School and Mako Way as emergency services responded and secured the area.
Troopers have not yet released details about the other vehicle involved in the crash. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
