SEBASTIAN — Bryan Rhoades, a Sebastian River High School graduate of 1998, posted a public Facebook Reel on Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, asking people to help the Sebastian River Sharks get their play clock fixed on the scoreboard.
“It’s pretty embarrassing for us when teams come, and there is no play clock. You know we have to raise money for everything as Sebastian River Sharks, you know for sports, while other schools just get it handed to them,” Rhoades told Sebastian Daily.
The local business owner of RiverRide Cart Rentals has already raised 4,500 in 1 day.
“We raised $ 4,500 in 1 day with 6 businesses, including mine. We need a few more local businesses to join us. We need $1500 to get this done. Once the money is raised, we will bring SRHS and all businesses together for recognition,” Rhoades stated.
Business donors so far include RiverRide Cart Rentals, Top Gym of Sebastian, Warrior Pawn, All Clear Dryer Vent Cleaning, and IRC Leak Detection & Plumbing.
Rhoades has been speaking with Coach Perry, Coach Amy, and Coach Phin to get this done.
