SEBASTIAN – It may not be surprising that Publix was voted to have the best subs in Sebastian, but how fast Jersey Mike’s has gained in popularity since it opened last year.

Sebastian Daily Newsletter subscribers participated in this poll.

Here are the sub results from our poll:

  1. Publix – 37.4%
  2. Jersey Mike’s – 26.8%
  3. Twisted Pickle Deli – 10.3%
  4. Earl’s Hideaway Lounge – 7.9%
  5. Sandwich Shack – 6.0%
  6. Downtown Crossing – 5.3%
  7. Subway – 3.7%
  8. Hooked Up Subs – 2.6%

The poll was introduced in our Sebastian Daily newsletter this week, and many of the readers took the time to vote for their favorite subs in Sebastian.

For over 20 years, Publix has been making quality subs to order with fresh vegetables, bread baked daily, and quality meat at a reasonable price.

Last year, Jersey Mike’s opened in the Riverwalk Plaza next to Publix in Roseland. Their bread is also baked daily, and their sandwiches are served with fresh vegetables. The store has been busy, as most people go back making it a success. You can also read our Jersey Mike’s Italian review that we published earlier this year.

Twisted Pickle Deli, located at 8180 U.S. Highway 1 near Wabasso, is also a popular place for people to get subs. Their regulars believe Twisted Pickle has the best subs.

Earl’s Hideaway Lounge does well with food, such as pizza, meatballs, subs, and more. Thursday is their hoagie day, and they pile the meat up high.

Sandwich Shack & Grill is also another favorite place for locals. They make great subs, sandwiches, wraps, and salads, and the price isn’t bad either. We recently published a Sandwich Shack review describing some delicious subs on their menu.

Downtown Crossing, located at 1103 U.S. Highway 1 inside the Village Square in Sebastian, has a full menu. The location is very convenient near Main Street.

Subway, located at 9609 U.S. Highway 1, has a lot of new subs. They bake their bread daily and offer a great array of veggies.

Hooked Up Subs, located at 8650 U.S. Highway 1 inside the Chevron Gas Station, was a big surprise. We’ve never heard a complaint about this place and published a Hooked Up Subs review. Give them a try, we think you’ll like them. Some people believe they have the best bread.
