On Tuesday, we did an early dinner review at Mulligans Beach House Bar & Grill in Sebastian. We decided to visit Mulligans as it had been quite a while since we had been there.

When we arrived, we were promptly seated. We asked to be seated inside but realized it was way too beautiful. We moved to the outside of the restaurant, which is still indoors, but it has sliding windows, so you feel like you are outside. Of course, the view was breath-taking.

Rene, our waitress, who was also the bartender, was very friendly and helpful. We asked her what she recommends as an entree, and she made great suggestions.

Appetizers

We started with one of their $5 appetizers that our waitress pointed out was on the back of the menu. The three choices were nachos, pretzel bites, or spinach dip. These $5 appetizers are available every day from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. We chose the nachos; they were great for the price.

Entress

Our waitress suggested the Firecracker Shrimp Quesadillas, and I went for it. I always like to ask the servers what they recommend because they know the food better than anyone.

Rene was spot on! The Firecracker Shrimp Quesadillas were by far the best meal I have ever had at Mulligans Beach House. They were super tasty and had plenty of shrimp. They were served with black beans and rice, which was also very delicious. The serving size was quite large, so I got to take the rest home for a late-night snack.

Andy asked about their fresh Mahi sandwich and was told it is quite popular, so that is what he ordered. His options were grilled, blackened, or jerk; he chose the blackened. He paid a small upcharge for french fries as his side.

When his plate arrived, we were both surprised at the size of the fish fillet. It had to be at least 10 oz, enough for two meals. He really enjoyed the Mahi sandwich.

Locals VIP Card

If you don’t already have a Locals VIP Card at the Mulligan’s Beach House Bar & Grill, I would get one during your next visit. You receive 10% off of your meal, and on Tuesday, when you buy 1 entree, you’ll get the second one half off.

You will also receive a free firecracker shrimp appetizer when you sign up for this VIP program online.

Overall, we were pleasantly pleased with our dining experience at Mulligans Beach House and will be visiting them a lot more often! I highly recommend the Firecracker Shrimp Quesadillas; make sure to bring your appetite!

Mulligans is located at 806 Indian River Drive in Sebastian. For more information, call 772-918-4844.
