Bowls of Sebastian Closes Restaurant

Bowls of Sebastian

Bowls of Sebastian

When Bowls of Sebastian announced its closure on April 1, 2022, most people thought it was an April Fools joke. Bowls was praised by its customers as one of the best restaurants in Sebastian.

“We will truly miss serving our great food to appreciative and wonderful people. Thank you, thank you, thank you if you were a customer of Bowls,” the restaurant said in a statement.

The restaurant, located at 709 U.S. Highway 1 (across from Speedway), will now become a small event space to accommodate baby showers, private dinners, small charity events, rehearsal dinners, festivals, themed parties, etc.

“It was so nice to feel the support coming into the kitchen as all of you left after eating a great meal. A lot of you stopped by to say how wonderful the food was to me as I was cooking on the grill, and I can’t thank you enough,” Bowls said in a statement.

It only took five short months for the restaurant to break even, and they were facing their next decision of opening on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. However, they didn’t think the restaurant could pull it off with the current labor shortages in the market.

Ramen to Charity

The restaurant plans to sell all remaining Ramen and use the gross sales towards a local charity.

“All remaining Ramen will be sold for $15 a bowl, and all gross sales will go to a local charity. I will cover all operations, food costs, and labor. All sales go to a local charity of your vote. The charity must have an office in Sebastian. Please vote on your favorite local charity in the comments below, and please come on Friday, April 8, starting at 11:00 a.m., and support said charity. I will announce the winner on April 7 at noon,” Bowls said in a statement.

Remember, the local charity must be based in Sebastian to qualify.

Customers Loved Bowls

We never heard anything terrible about Bowls while it was open, and their customers loved them. In addition, their health inspections were excellent.

The food from Bowls will be missed, owned by great people who love our Sebastian community. They also own another successful business known as Wild Thyme Catering in Vero Beach.
