There is an interesting event happening in Laurel Reserve here in Sebastian. We are a gated private community that owns and operates all of our infrastructure (Roads, Lights, etc).
Last week, the community was basically invaded by Comcast, who, without notice or communication, began to mark up our roads, lawns, and private yards.
Needless to say the community was in chaos with what was happening. Trying to reach out to Comcast via normal support channels quickly put me in contact with support individuals in Egypt and, I believe, the Philippines, which, of course, after hours on the phone, resulted in nothing.
After working with the City, the Comcast construction team contact information was acquired. A meeting was requested to provide the community with some details on what was happening and why. All attempts to have contact with this local team have gone unanswered.
Every affected home is connected to ATT Fiber, which was provided by the builder and no homeowner here wants Comcast, nor will they be switching to them, certainly not after this complete debacle. Private yards have been intruded upon with no notice to any homeowner.
I just thought I would let a media outlet know about how Comcast does business, the value they place on their customers, and the strong-arm tactics they resort to.
Thanks for listening,
Mark Bauerlein
