SIRSY, an indie pop-rock duo, will bring their heart, soul & sass to Earl’s Hideaway Lounge on Saturday, February 25, 2023, starting at 2 p.m.
The band is made up of husband & wife Melanie Krahmer and Rich Libutti. Together, they sound like a full band and do it all with big smiles. They recently played at the Pareidolia Brewing Company and the crowd loved them.
“We love playing daytime shows at Earl’s. They are known for getting great national talent, and folks come in expecting a good show. So they listen, support songwriters, and rally for the musicians. Plus, the sun is usually shining. It’s a great vibe,” Krahmer told Sebastian Daily.
Interestingly, their songs have been featured on HBO, PBS, MTV, and Showtime’s hit TV show Shameless. The duo is from upstate New York and is currently on tour.
Mel plays bass on the keyboard with her drumstick, and her voice is one of the most powerful and flexible voices you’ll ever hear. In addition to drums, she plays piano, melodica, and the occasional flute solo.
Rich masterfully plays a well-loved and road-worn Rickenbacker through a pedal board full of vintage effects. In addition, Rich can play bass at live shows on a pedal board with his feet.
Fans have supported the duo through the pandemic, their 11 records, and Mel’s two bouts of cancer. So, every show is like a celebration for this couple and their fans. Grammy-Winner Paul Q Kolderie produced their last several records.
SIRSY has warmed stages for Maroon 5, Brandi Carlile, Grace Potter, Train, Collective Soul, Cheap Trick, Lifehouse, Spindoctors, Blues Traveler, and Patty Smyth, to name a few.
Check out SIRSY on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Earl’s Hideaway Lounge at 1405 Indian River Drive in Sebastian.
