SEBASTIAN – A 60-year-old skydiver was found stuck in a tree Friday afternoon near the Sebastian Municipal Airport after calling out for help, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was in the branches of a 20-foot tree at Donald MacDonald Park on Roseland Road, deputies said.

The skydiver was safely removed from the tree and transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center.

Skydive Sebastian has a drop zone near the campground, but the man missed his target and ended up in the wood area across the road.

Last month, one skydiver landed at Riverview Park in Sebastian, missing her target from several miles away. On the same day, another skydiver landed near the Sebastian Post Office.
