SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian River High School Band started a community service project Thursday by helping with some yard clean up caused by Hurricane Irma.
The neighborhood consists mainly of elderly people close to the Environmental Learning Center.
At 4:00 p.m., members of the high school band were cleaning debris in the “Little Orchid Island” community.
“We have an opportunity to give back to our community as there is a neighborhood that could use our help with some yard clean up,” the notice said, which was sent out to the SRHS band members.
