For The Love of Paws in Fellsmere has received the Animal Welfare Organization Of The Year Award for 2019 by the 211 Community Help Line of Palm Beach/Treasure Coast.

The ceremony was on Thursday, March 23th, at the Santa Lucia River Club in Port St. Lucie Florida. It was MC’d by Michael Williams NBC WPTV News Anchor.

For The Love Of Paws Senior Pet Sanctuary was established in 2014 in the Memory of Jessica Pankiewicz who passed away unexpectedly from an Auto Immune disease called Devic’s. It was her dream to someday establish For The Love Of Paws.

Since obtaining our 501(c)3 in February 2015 Love Of Paws has provided Sanctuary, Temporary and New Fur Ever Home to hundreds of Pets, giving peace of mind to their senior owners who could no longer car for them due to going into Hospice, Memory Care, Nursing Homes or Assisted Living.

Their Paws Meals On Wheels Program continues to grow and they currently provide over 10,000 pounds of pet food monthly to those in need through individual delivery. They also have a 2000 sq foot warehouse at 12198 County Road in Fellsmere Florida where recipients pick up food.

They also provide for over 17 food pantries, including two meals on wheels routes and two mobile monthly pet food pantries to reach people who can no get to our other locations.
