This July, Mel Fisher Treasure Museum is celebrating 40 years since legendary treasure hunter Mel Fisher discovered the famous Nuestra Señora de Atocha shipwreck, packed with gold and jewels!
To honor this historic event they’re bringing back the Mel Fisher Days Charity Event from July 18–20, 2025, for a fun weekend called “On the Treasure Coast!” full of adventure and giving back.
Central to this year’s festivities is the Mel Fisher Treasure Museum, located at 1322 U.S. 1 in Sebastian, which will be a key venue for the weekend’s events.
It all starts with an online silent auction, open now until midnight on July 20, 2025. You can bid on exciting items, including trips and unique items worth over $30,000, donated by individuals from Key West to Sebastian. Click here to bid on items!

Scavenger Hunt Registration
Join the Mel Fisher’s Treasure Museum on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm for our their Welcome Party! Pick up your treasure map, then head out with your crew to collect treasures from local bars and pubs.
Bring your treasures back by 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, to the Dockside Party at the Tiki Bar. You’ll get a chance to pick a key and unlock the Treasure Chest for a shot at awesome prizes!
Honoring a Legacy
A Special Tradition Mel Fisher Days started in 1998, right before Mel passed away. Fans wore “Today’s the Day” shirts and followed him in a parade.
Since then, it has grown into a major charitable tradition raising over $185,000 for the Wesley House and $78,000 for the Have a Heart Foundation.

All net proceeds from the events and auction will support two exceptional causes:
