Warmer temperatures this week in Sebastian, Florida

While other forecasts predicted rain last weekend in Sebastian, we informed you of no rain and a few clouds. We did have a quick shower or two on Monday morning, but that’s about it.

So, will we get rain this week?

As we’ve said repeatedly, the wind direction and force depend on getting rain from the west. We don’t get rain when the storms push in from the west, while we have strong winds out of the east.

We predict a few showers on Tuesday night when winds are calmer, but that’s all we expect.

Tuesday and Wednesday will have winds out of the east and southeast at 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. The chance of rain is 40 percent, but as we said, the winds are strong enough to keep the moisture away from Sebastian. Highs near 84, overnight lows near 68.

Temperatures are going to be warmer for Thursday and Friday, near 90 degrees! A low of 69. Winds out of the east and southeast as 5 to 10 mph. No chance of rain.

When will we get rain?

Unfortunately, we might see rain on Saturday as strong winds will be out of the west, helping to push the moisture into Sebastian. But this is an early prediction, and a lot of things can change by Saturday. It’s way too early to predict the weather for the upcoming weekend.

We do need the rain. We’ll have another weather forecast published before the weekend.

Have a great week!
