SEBASTIAN – For the most part, Tropical Wave Invest 92L is just a storm that will produce showers and thunderstorms in Sebastian, Fellsmere, and Vero Beach.

Invest 92L is currently over the western Bahamas this morning as it moves across Sebastian and Vero Beach during the next few days bringing us increased chances for rain.

According to the National Weather Service, the rain will continue from this afternoon through the weekend.

The potential impact for our Indian River County will be rainfall amounts of 0.5-2″ per day for this week.

This rainfall may cause minor flooding of roadways and poor drainage areas.

An east swell will continue into Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with a moderate rip current risk expected. Wave heights will be 3-4′.

While there is a lot of cool moisture in the air, the heat index today will still be around 102.

Those outdoors have a risk of heat-related illness and must use caution.

A little rain for Sebastian and Vero Beach isn’t going to be bad, considering the Atlantic basin is clear after five potential threats last week.
