Tropical Storm Karen is expected to weaken as it gets closer to Sebastian, Florida.

Tropical Storm Karen is expected to weaken as it gets closer to Sebastian, Florida.

We already know that some storms do not dissipate (Hurricane Dorian) when expected, so we will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Karen in the meantime.

Karen is expected to weaken Sunday and be nothing more than a tropical disturbance. She is not likely to restrengthen because of environmental conditions. However, we are still monitoring Karen every six hours.

As of right now, Sebastian can expect wind gusts of 30 mph and torrential rains next week as she moves closer to Florida.

Karen is about 400 miles south of Bermuda and moving 14 mph with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph. She is moving a bit slower than Wednesday.

There are no other threats to Sebastian from the Atlantic at this time. Systems are spawning quickly from the African coast and are either moving north or dissipating.

Sebastian weather looks great for this weekend.
