There’s a tropical disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean that is several hundred miles southeast of the Lesser Antilles. The system is generating limited showers and thunderstorms.
At this time, there are no tropical storm or hurricane threats to Sebastian or Florida.
“Some slow development of this system is possible, and a tropical depression could form well east of the Leeward Islands by early next week while the low moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph,” the National Hurricane Center said.
The chance of formation is 40 percent through the next five days. This number has decreased from 60 percent.
The rain continues for Sebastian Friday afternoon and Friday night with a high near 85, the low near 75 degrees.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely for Saturday and Saturday night with a high near 89 degrees, low near 73.
The rain decreases Sunday with only a few showers likely after 12 p.m. with a high near 89, lows near 72 degrees.
If you plan on boating this weekend, Sunday might be the best day. Friday and Saturday are unpredictable with the scattered showers and thunderstorms.
There might be an increasing chance of rain for Monday. We’ll have another weather forecast out before then.
