SEBASTIAN – A tropical disturbance in the Atlantic will bring us rain for the next few days, but at least it’s not a hurricane.

The system will begin moving northwest today into Florida before steering northeast back into the Atlantic. During this period, for the next few days, we will have rain to deal with in Sebastian.

“Regardless of development, locally heavy rains are possible over
portions of the Bahamas and the Florida Peninsula during the next
couple of days,” the National Weather Service stated.

The tropical system will not produce anything more than showers and thunderstorms for our area. There won’t be any wind advisories with this one.

There will be showers and thunderstorms moving into our area this afternoon and tonight. The rain will continue into Friday morning. The high Thursday is expected to be 84, and an overnight low around 70 degrees.

Friday won’t be as bad, with a few showers in the morning and a possible thunderstorm after 1 p.m. The rain chance decreases in the evening. The high will be near 89 with an overnight low near 69 degrees.

Saturday will have a high near 90 and an overnight low near 72 degrees. The rain chance increases after 1 p.m., but we should only receive some showers. Most of the rain on Saturday will occur at night and into Sunday morning.

Sunday will have a high near 89, low near 71 degrees. The thunderstorms will be rolling in late Sunday evening and into the night.

The weather should be beautiful in the afternoon for Cinco de Mayo!

Overall, the rain chance will be decreasing on Sunday and Monday as this tropical disturbance begins to move out of Sebastian.

The temperatures are going up this weekend, and the rain will be on and off. So bring an umbrella and don’t miss out on any fun this weekend in Sebastian.

Have a great weekend!
