VERO BEACH – The anticipated Beach Town Music Festival at the Indian River County Fairgrounds in Vero Beach has been postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.
Governor Scott Declared a State of Emergency in Florida on Monday and had put the National Guard on standby.
The festival was set to launch Friday, October 7th and Saturday, October 8th. It’s featured lineup included Jake Owen, Bret Michaels, David Nail, as well as Clare Dunn.
“We’re sorry to announce the 2016 Beach Town Music Festival, set to be held this weekend at Indian River County Fairgrounds, has been postponed due to Florida Governor Rick Scott declaring a State of Emergency for all of Florida’s 67 counties,” according to the festival’s Facebook page. “Details about the rescheduled date will be announced shortly and tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets, which will be honored at the rescheduled event. For any ticketing questions, please email ticketing@basisent.com.”
“Due to inclement weather, we regretfully announce the BEACH TOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL will be postponed to a later date,” the festival’s website said. “We are disappointed to make this announcement, but in the interest of public safety, this decision was made to protect the fans, artists, vendors, and staff.”
