Tornado Watch Issued for Sebastian, Vero Beach

SEBASTIAN – The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 4:00 p.m. this afternoon.

The tornado watch includes Sebastian, Vero Beach, and 8 counties.

Counties are Brevard, Indian River, Lake, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia.

A cold front is bringing a threat of severe weather to our area today.

“The severe weather threat will the spread farther south across the Kissimmee basin River reaching Osceola, Brevard, Okeechobee, and Indian River Counties after 2 p.m.,” the National Weather Service said.

Very hazardous boating conditions will develop today ahead of an approaching strong cold front. Small craft advisories in effect this morning will become Gale Warnings over all of the waters late this morning through tonight.
