SEBASTIAN – There will be a line of strong to severe storms that are expected to move into Micco, Barefoot Bay, Sebastian, and parts of Vero Beach Friday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.
Please keep in mind that there will be strong winds to the south that may keep most of this bad weather north of Sebastian. We all know how weather can change when there are winds out of the south or east.
“Main threat is from damaging winds, but hail and an isolated tornado are also possible,” the National Weather Service said.
The high for Friday will be 90 degrees, windy with gusts as high as 30 mph. Possible rainfall amounts are between a quarter and a half of an inch.
Again, this weather forecast could change if the strong southern winds keep most of the storms north of us.
The weather for Friday night is expected to be raining with a low near 61 degrees. If you’re going out, take an umbrella, it doesn’t mean you should stay home.
The rain will be clearing up by late morning on Saturday with a high near 78. The winds will be 10 – 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Saturday night will be cool with a low near 55 degrees. Enjoy it while we can because the hot weather is coming.
Sunday will be beautiful with a high near 75 and a low near 60 degrees.
