Sebastian can expect rain and gusty winds starting Wednesday. Additionally, the mercury will rise, with temperatures expected to touch 90 degrees by the weekend.
This wet spell is due to a fragmented layer of mid-to-high clouds moving from the Gulf of Mexico east-northeast across Florida.
The National Weather Service mentioned, “There’s a frontal boundary lingering in the far south of Florida, extending over the neighboring Atlantic waters. Meanwhile, a high-pressure system is forming to the north-northwest. The radar captures drizzles and isolated showers over the local Atlantic.”
Come Wednesday afternoon, thunderstorms are anticipated, pushing the wind speeds to 15 to 20 mph. Gusts could even reach 25 mph by Thursday. Expect rain through Saturday, but Sunday looks clear. The gusty conditions are set to persist into the following week.

A cold front will sweep through Sebastian on Sunday night, dropping Monday’s high to 77 degrees. Saturday’s heat index might hover between 101 to 106.
For maritime enthusiasts, sea levels will stand at 2 to 3 feet until Thursday, escalating to 3 to 4 feet. The Intracoastal waters will be rough over the weekend. While boating conditions seem reasonable, we recommend watching for this week’s thunderstorms.
