Rain clearing Thursday night in Sebastian, Florida.

We’ve had a lot of rain lately, but the weather in Sebastian is about to get better.

The rain arrived from a small, disorganized system that started Monday as it made its way into Florida this week. It was the primary reason why we had so many of those thunderstorms at night and the afternoons.

The good news is, as we announced on Monday, the weekend is looking good for Sebastian with mostly sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday.

The temperatures will be a little cooler, reaching near 83 degrees on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The overnight lows will be near 73.

The winds will be out of the northeast at 5 to 10 mph, bringing a gentle breeze from the water. The waters will be slightly choppy, but overall it should be an excellent weekend for boaters.

The 90-degree temperatures might be gone for a while as the season is about to change.

The tropics are quiet at the moment, with no storm activity. The 2019 hurricane season isn’t over yet, but things are looking better. It seems like Sebastian dodges a bullet each year with the storms.
