SEBASTIAN – We can expect rain this week for Sebastian, although we might get a break for the weekend.

There’s a 60 percent chance of rain through Wednesday with wind gusts between 20-30 mph. The lows will be around 78 degrees and highs near 88.

However, drier conditions are possible starting Thursday as Hurricane Michael continues to move north into the Carolinas. The rain chance for Thursday through Sunday is about 30 percent.

Scattered showers are expected, but boaters might experience choppy seas until Friday. The wind should decrease by Saturday. Boaters should keep an eye on any marine advisories through Sunday.

The National Hurricane Center has issued a hurricane warning from the Alabama-Florida border to the Suwannee River in Florida; this includes cities like Pensacola, Panama City, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, and Apalachicola.

Hurricane Michael is forecast to continue to intensify and be a Category 3 or higher when it makes landfall in the Florida Panhandle sometime Wednesday afternoon.
