Rain chance increases, but weekend looking better

More rain is coming, but we don't think it's going to be all weekend.

More rain is coming, but we don't think it's going to be all weekend.

SEBASTIAN – The winds have picked up and the rain is coming, but it depends on the direction of our winds.

It’s going to be windy for a few days, and the rain chance for Friday and Saturday has gone up to 40 percent. However, we don’t think it’s going to be that much, and we’ll tell you why shortly.

Wednesday night’s low will be around 50 degrees, and it will be very windy night indeed.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of rain with a high near 66 degrees. But keep an eye on the winds! They are out of the northeast, and it might be enough to keep the rain south of us. Thursday night’s lows will be around 60.

Now, prepare to warm up!

Friday’s high will be near 77 degrees, mostly cloudy, with a 40 percent chance of rain. Again, keep an eye on those winds! They are coming out of the northeast, and it may be enough to keep the storms south of us. Winds will be 10 mph. Friday night will have a low around 59.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a high near 73, and a 40 percent chance of rain. The winds will be out of the east at 10 mph, which may keep most of the rain away from us.

Sunday will be the best day of the week with partly sunny skies and a high near 75. The winds will be slowing down to 5 mph. The low will be 60 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 77. It’s still a bit early to predict the weather for these days.

The main thing is the rain on Friday and Saturday. We believe the winds are strong enough to push most of the rain out of our area. We’ve seen this pattern multiple times. So, if you have plans for the weekend, keep them!

Our weather is so much better than up north, so if we get a little rain, it won’t matter. Welcome to Sebastian!
