Rain for Monday and Tuesday in Sebastian, Florida.

SEBASTIAN – We have rain coming, but it should clear up by Wednesday. There is a rip current risk through this evening in South Brevard and Indian River County.

There will be a slight chance for thunderstorms this afternoon as a cold front pushes south and stalls.

“The primary threat from these storms will be cloud-to-ground lightning. Remember that lightning can strike well beyond the audible range of thunder. If thunder is heard, cease outdoor activities immediately and seek shelter indoors,” the National Weather Service said.

There’s a 40 percent chance of showers after 1 p.m. today with mostly cloudy skies. The high will be near 76. The overnight low near 63. Winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday is about the same with a chance of thunderstorms after 9 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies. Winds 5 to 10 mph. The high will be 79, the low near 60.

Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 75. Winds 10 to 15 mph. The overnight low will be 63.

The sunshine continues into Thursday with a high near 79, overnight low near 65. The winds will be stronger, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday could mean rain, but it’s still too early to predict. We’ll have another forecast later this week.
