Hurricane Elsa Downgraded to Tropical Storm, Sebastian Out of Path

Tropical Storm Elsa

Tropical Storm Elsa

Hurricane Elsa has been downgraded to a tropical storm, and Sebastian is now out of its path.

However, please keep in mind that Elsa’s tracking could change several times again before making landfall on the west coast of Florida by Tuesday.

Elsa is located about 195 miles from Jamaica, with maximum sustained winds of 70 mph. A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the Florida Keys. In addition, the Government of Cuba has issued a Tropical Storm Warning.

Tropical Storm Watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area.

Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected somewhere within the warning area.

Sebastian can still expect a lot of rain from Tropical Storm Elsa as it travels up Florida’s west coast.

Sebastian Daily will continue to monitor Elsa and will provide updates when they are available.
