Local beaches are under a Moderate Risk warning for dangerous rip currents, particularly near the Sebastian Inlet. Beachgoers are advised to swim near lifeguards and avoid entering the ocean alone.

As for New Year’s Eve, the forecast predicts a chilly 44 degrees, with lighter winds at 5 mph. However, temperatures are expected to rise to 70 degrees on the first day of 2024.
