Chance of rain remains high this week

The radar isn’t showing any rain in Sebastian as of Monday morning, but the thunderstorms are coming.

We didn’t get a lot of rain on Saturday, but we certainly had a few downpours Sunday.

Sebastian will remain wet this week as the rain chance has increased to 70 percent for most of the week. Expect afternoon thunderstorms after 1:00 p.m. every day this week.

“Wet pattern continues, with numerous showers & storms moving slowly east today. Highest coverage this afternoon,” the National Weather Service said.

We will have a high near 89 degrees Monday through Thursday. The overnight low will be 74 degrees, and we will have cloudy skies and showers on and off each night this week.

The winds will pick up on Wednesday reaching 15 to 20 mph.

Friday will begin to clear with partly sunny skies and a high near 90 degrees. Thunderstorms are still in the forecast for Friday night.

This weekend is still too early to forecast, but things could be clearing up on Friday. We’ll have another forecast later this week.
