Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers spoke with Sebastian Daily Tuesday after deputies found the body of John Swanigan, who went missing about 11 days ago.
Authorities recovered the body from the trunk of a vehicle located on Dickens Ave in Sebastian.
“We had a missing person’s case, John Swanigan, and unfortunately today we came to a sad ending on that case,” Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers told Sebastian Daily.
Flowers said there is one person in custody and will conducting a search warrant to continue with the investigation throughout the evening.
