VERO BEACH – A Nebraska man died of injuries after he was struck by a car Tuesday night on 12th Street, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Larry Justice, 48, was crossing 12th Street at approximately 9:10 p.m., east of Old Dixie Highway, when he was hit by Vero Beach resident Andrea Capas, 45.
“The pedestrian was transported to Indian River Medical Center then transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center by air rescue and was pronounced dead at 2:11 a.m.,” FHP Sergeant Mark Wysocky told Sebastian Daily.
Justice’s blood alcohol tests are pending, according to the FHP.
The crash is still under investigation.
