Colton McMann #10

Colton McMann, the standout quarterback for the Sebastian High School football team, is poised for a promising future as he begins his final year of high school. McMann has been a three-year starter at one of the most demanding positions in football, showcasing a remarkable blend of grit, loyalty, and a relentless drive to improve.
With a solid 3.1 GPA, McMann has his sights set on Florida State University, where he plans to pursue a degree in sports communication or player development if a football scholarship doesn’t materialize. His passion for the game began at age 11, when he first took the field for the Sebastian Youth Sharks after starting at I9 Academy. Since then, he’s remained steadfast as a quarterback, honing his skills through youth leagues and into high school.
McMann credits his coaches—particularly Coach Perry, Coach Snyder, and Coach Freeman—for shaping him into the player and person he is today. “They mean a lot,” McMann said. “They taught me how to be the best of my ability, and I couldn’t express how much I’m thankful for that.” His favorite memory on the field? Winning the SSAA state championship as a sophomore—a moment that still fuels his drive.
Outside of football, McMann likes spending time with friends and listening to music. He shared his sincere thanks to his mom, dad, grandparents, uncle Scott, and his coaches, stating, “Thank you for sticking with me through all of this. I’m forever grateful for it.”
Coach Perry, who has guided McMann for three years, praised the young quarterback’s exceptional attitude and work ethic. “Colton displays an exceptional attitude and work ethic,” Perry said. “For three years, he has been able to take that positive attitude and work ethic and apply it to what he’s doing. He’s continuing to improve every day, understanding his role better.”
As McMann enters his senior season, Coach Perry believes this could be his best year yet. “He’s continuing to improve every day, understanding his role better.
With a focus on his future and a history of leadership on the field, McMann is ready to make his final high school season a memorable one for himself and for the Sebastian community cheering him on.
EJ Johnson #3

Eric “EJ” Johnson, the dynamic Defensive Back and Wide Receiver for the Sebastian High School football team, is planning on leaving a lasting mark on the field for his senior year before preparing for a future in civil engineering. With a 3.0 GPA and a lifelong passion for football, Johnson has been a four-year player and three-year starter, embodying discipline, focus, and leadership both on and off the field.
Johnson, who has played football his entire life, credits his coaches for shaping him into a better athlete and person. “The coaches have helped me to be better on the field and a better man,” Johnson said. “You have to be disciplined and focused during life and on the field.”
His top football memory isn’t a big play on the field, but the time he spent laughing and joking with his friends in the locker room.
Outside of football, Johnson’s passion lies in civil engineering, a field he plans to pursue in college after graduating high school in 2026. He gives heartfelt shoutouts to his brothers, dad, mom, and family for their unwavering support throughout his journey.
Coach Perry, who has watched Johnson grow over the years, praises his work ethic and calm demeanor. “Eric just puts in the work,” Perry said. “His work ethic and calm demeanor have teammates looking to him for leadership. He’s taken a ton of pride in being the best version of himself.”
Perry notes that Johnson isn’t afraid of the process or big moments, having developed into an impactful player through trust in the team’s system. “We look forward to him making impactful and game-changing plays during the year,” Perry added.
As he prepares for his senior season, Johnson’s leadership and commitment will be a significant asset for his team and in his future as a civil engineer. With the support of his family and coaches, EJ Johnson is ready to tackle what comes next, both on the field and beyond.
