The Sebastian River High School (SRHS) football team launched its 2025 season with a surge of energy at its annual Midnight Madness practice on July 28 at 12:00 a.m.
The stands were filled with excitement as players, led by 16 returning seniors, set the stage for a season defined by discipline, leadership, and brotherhood.
Head Coach Tyrone Perry, now in his eighth year leading the Sharks, said the team’s renewed focus on unity. “The Sharks are building their brotherhood back,” Perry said, highlighting the dedication shown in early practices and the weight room. “Our weight room numbers prove we’ve gotten stronger, and now we’re focused on being more physical and aggressive on the field.”
The coaching staff is focused on assembling the ideal lineup to tackle the season’s challenges.
“We want the best eleven on defense, plain and simple,” Perry stated. “We’re looking for great attitudes, maximum effort, and guys who are ready to lead.” The team’s depth, from the offensive line to the defensive unit, will be crucial in sustaining momentum throughout a demanding schedule.
Shark Nation won’t have to wait long to cheer on their team. The Sharks’ first home game is slated for August 15 against Titusville, promising a packed stadium and an electric atmosphere.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early and visit the Shark Cage under the stadium for exclusive fan gear, including hats, shirts, and hoodies designed by the SRHS Football Booster Club and Southern Tees.
