Sebastian River High School will host its 31st Annual Prism Concert, a dynamic showcase of the school’s music program, from December 11 to 14. The production has been a community favorite for over 30 years, featuring continuous performances by bands, choirs, soloists, and dancers with seamless transitions between acts.
Performances will be held at the high school with the following schedule:
- Thursday, Dec. 11, at 7:00 pm
- Friday, Dec. 12, at 7:00 pm
- Saturday, Dec. 13, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm
- Sunday, Dec. 14, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm
The name “Prism” reflects the concert’s diversity, much like a prism disperses light into colors. The repertoire includes holiday favorites, contemporary selections, classical works, and student-driven pieces.
The Concert is famous for its immersive style, surrounding the audience with music from all directions as performers cycle through ensembles, solos, choirs, dances, and chamber groups. It serves as the music department’s top fundraiser, showcasing students’ talents in an engaging experience.
This year’s concert will help fund the band’s invitation to perform in the 85th anniversary Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade in Hawaii in December 2026.
Tickets are on sale now through the school’s band website.
The Sebastian River High School band and choral department is known for excellence in performance, student leadership, and community engagement. The Prism concert has been a holiday tradition for local families for more than three decades.
During marching season, the band secured superior ratings in district evaluations and delivered compelling performances, culminating in their claim of grand champion honors at the Crown Jewel Festival in Vero Beach. They are guided by Director of Bands Brandon T. Jenkins and Associate Director Ashley Sherwood Catrett.
