SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River High School Navy JROTC program, in cooperation with the Indian River Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA), has recognized Cadet Chief Petty Officer (C/CPO) Meredith Rosenkrans as Cadet of the Month for October 2025, honoring her exceptional dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the success of the unity.
C/CPO Rosenkrans has gone above and beyond in her duties as Assistant Administration Officer, dedicating countless hours both during and after the duty day to maintain and improve the unit’s administrative systems. She collected, evaluated, and processed over 148 cadet records, identifying and correcting multiple discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Through close coordination with platoon commanders and cadets, she upheld the integrity of each record—making a significant impact on the organization and efficiency of the unit’s personnel management.
Now in her third year with the JROTC program, C/CPO Rosenkrans continues to exemplify professionalism, positivity, and perseverance. Her unfailing courtesy and attention to detail have set a high standard for her peers, and her tireless efforts behind the scenes ensure that the unit runs smoothly. Her commitment to excellence earned her a meritorious promotion to Cadet Petty Officer Third Class during her freshman year, a distinction that foreshadowed her future leadership and reliability.
Outside of her administrative duties, Meredith is an openly Christian cadet who is passionate about sharing her faith and spreading positivity throughout the unit. She embraces life with gratitude, believing that each new day is a blessing and an opportunity to grow. In her free time, she enjoys skateboarding, hiking, crocheting, and movie marathons, finding joy in both adventure and creativity.
Senior Naval Science Instructor CDR Peter Bissonnette, USN (ret), commended Rosenkrans for her outstanding professionalism and dedication, noting that her “attention to detail, positive attitude, and selfless commitment have made her an invaluable member of the administrative staff and a role model for all cadets.”
Through her faith, work ethic, and unwavering service, C/CPO Meredith Rosenkrans has distinguished herself as a true leader and an inspiration to the Sebastian River High School Navy JROTC program.
