The Sebastian Charter Junior High School will host a 5k Walk, Run, or Jog on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 8:00 am at the Sebastian River High School Track. But if you can’t make it, don’t worry. You can still participate in their virtual race.
This fundraiser will help pay for the 2023-2024 school fees. All students who register five runners in the live or virtual race are exempt from school fees for the 2023-2024 school year.
Here’s how the Live 5K works:
If you want to join the race on Saturday, August 26, 2023, you must be at the SRHS track on 9001 Shark Blvd in Sebastian by 7:45 am. The race starts at 8:00 am. When you sign up, you’ll get a race Bib, a T-Shirt, and a cool Participation Patch as part of your entry fee.
Here’s what it costs:
- Kids 10 & Under $15
- Teens (11-17): $30
- Adults (18 & Over): $30
They will also have awards for the fastest runners! There will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for each category: 10 and under, 11-17, and adults.
Can’t make it to the track? Try the Virtual 5K!
From now through August 26th, you can do the 5K whenever and wherever you want. Run, jog, or walk around your neighborhood, in the park, on a trail, or even on your treadmill at home.
Your entry fee for the virtual race is the same as the live event and includes a Bib, T-Shirt, and Participation Patch.
