On September 2, 2025, Marjorie A. Risska, aged 98, passed away peacefully at Pelican Landing Assisted Living in Sebastian, Florida.
After graduating as her high school class salutatorian in Worcester, Massachusetts, Marjorie worked as an executive secretary to the President of Sanders Associates in Nashua, New Hampshire. While living in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, one of her greatest joys was joining “The Guys and Dolls”, a semi-professional singing group.
Music was always a significant part of her life, especially after her brother Rick Huesman graduated from the New England Conservatory. Marjorie had a passion for cooking, entertaining, and celebrating special holidays with her blended family.
After moving to Barefoot Bay, Florida, she never missed a morning on her porch, greeting and waving to all her neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William M. Clapp of Nashua, NH and Rolvin R. Risska of N. Chelmsford, MA. Marjorie is survived by her children Madra Christian, David A. Clapp, Christy R. Guerra, Regina A. Booth, and son-in-law, Castulo Guerra, as well as four wonderful grandchildren, Clarity and Ian Guerra and Kyle and Ryan Booth. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rolvin R. Risska of San Francisco, CA.
Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, neighbors, and the wonderful ladies who cared for her, allowing her to live independently until recently. A life well-lived.
