Letters to the Editor: Environmental Groups and Annexation

Environmental groups and annexation.

Environmental groups and annexation.

The Letters to the Editor for Thursday, July 28, 2022.

We have received a lot of feedback from our readers regarding our editorial on Environmental groups say they want input on Sebastian’s annexation. Here are some of those letters to the editor.

TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF THE FOLLOWING GROUPS

You were not elected by any Sebastian residents. Please keep this in mind while you are imposing your ideas and views on us. I truly believe we, the residents and elected officials, know what is best for our community and our environment.

Having “President ” or “Chairman” after your name means very little to anyone residing in this beautiful city.

I’m sure you mean well but let us decide our future.

We Moved Here Because of the Good, Clean Healthy Environment

These dedicated, highly knowledged, self-sacrificing, effective environmentalists are the reason there is any nature left in this county! They have fought the plans of the developers to turn it into another Miami.

We move here because of the good clean, healthy environment. Developers and their hired politicians have no love for our “land of beautiful flowers!” Florida.

The purpose of life is to live for something that lives after you. You are wrong to “snipe” at people who care about the dolphins, tortoises, scrubjays, and fauna.

After Annexation

It would appear to me that all the necessary and/or required issues can be addressed AFTER the annexation process is completed.

Thanks For Your July 27 Editorial/Opinion

Thanks for your editorial/opinion on the annexation issue. It is balanced, factual, and direct.

I agree with your opinion. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that the issue of annexation does not get derailed again!!!
