Sea turtles lay eggs during the months of June and July in Sebastian, Florida.

Each summer, sea turtles head to places in Sebastian and along Florida’s coast to lay their eggs. They arrive quietly as the sun sets and people leave the beach.

It’s a spectacular event when these sea creatures come out of the water, digging up the sand, and laying their eggs. It’s also an incredible sight when the eggs hatch.

There are about 100,000 sea turtles that come to Florida beaches between June and July. The most common one is the loggerhead.

You can take a guided tour between June 1 and July 31 each year at the Sebastian Inlet State Park. The tour is a memorable experience that allows people to learn and hopefully see the nesting and egg-laying process of a loggerhead sea turtle.

Walks at the Sebastian Inlet are conducted on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Rangers at the State Park are currently hosting the walks.

Unfortunately, the calendar for this location is fully booked, due to space being limited to 20 people per night.

However, you can visit the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to find out where else you can see sea turtles nearby.
