SEBASTIAN – The Sebastian Inlet in Florida offers a lot of outdoor fun, including fishing on the North Jetty, surfing, and a campground near the beaches.
The weather is always beautiful, which is another reason why the inlet was put on the map in Sebastian.
The area offers crystal clear waters as people fish for snook, redfish, bluefish, and sometimes a Spanish mackerel.
The park also offers fishing charters, swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, canoeing, and kayaking in the Indian River Lagoon.
The Sebastian Inlet State Park has three miles of beaches. There are pavilions and picnic areas available.
A weekend trip to the park is ideal for campers. The campground is available for RVs and tents.
For non-campers, there are several hotels available in Sebastian or near the inlet.
Getting to the inlet is easy. Just take U.S. Highway 1 south from Sebastian until you reach County Road 510. Follow the road over the Indian River to A1A. Turn left, going north, for about 7 miles and you’ll see the park.
