A lot of people took time Monday to either fish or surf at the Sebastian Inlet. We caught up with a couple of people.

The Redfish, or Red Drum, is found in the Atlantic Ocean from Massachusetts to Florida. They are usually seen along coastal waters.

These fish have some fighting power when reeling them in.

Nicole Garcia caught a redfish Monday.

“I love the Sebastian Inlet. I’ve been surfing it for over 20 years. It always has a fun peaky wave, making it exciting,” Kitzmiller told Sebastian Daily.

The photo was taken by freelance photographer Frankie Tuzcu. Frankie is also a surf instructor.

Anthony Osment caught a few nice waves Monday on his 5’8″ JS Industries Black Box 3 Swallow Tail. Osment is from Charleston, South Carolina, and lived in San Clemente, California. The photo was taken by photographer Danielle Redden.

“I’ve been surfing Sebastian Inlet since I was 15 on trips down to Florida, chasing waves, competitions, and I love the wave itself as well as the State Park,” Osment told Sebastian Daily.

“The wave is very unique and offers some really good wedges off the Jetty called 1st and 2nd peak. It’s really a high-performance wave,” Osment added.
