SEBASTIAN — Joy Melton Psychoeducational Services, a child- and family-centered private practice serving Sebastian, Vero Beach, and surrounding communities, is introducing Resilient Kids Club, a series of neuroscience-informed, small-group programs designed to support children’s regulation, confidence, connection, and sense of belonging.
Created by licensed school psychologist Joy Melton, MA, EdS, LSP, Resilient Kids Club is a group-based extension of Melton’s established work with children and families. The programs were developed in response to a consistent pattern in her practice: bright, capable, and motivated children who often struggle in traditional group or extracurricular settings when expectations don’t account for differences in how children experience stress, regulate their emotions, and connect with others.
Resilient Kids Club is intentionally designed to bridge this gap. Programs focus on helping children better understand their brain-body responses, build practical regulation skills, and develop social confidence, in ways that honor individual differences rather than expecting all children to fit a single mold.
Each program blends movement, sensory-based strategies, and social-emotional learning in an active, engaging format. Groups are kept small to support inclusion, flexibility, and meaningful peer connection—particularly for children who have not always felt successful or supported in other group settings.
Resilient Kids Club offers developmentally appropriate small-group programs for early childhood (ages 4–7), elementary-aged children (ages 8–12), and adolescents (ages 13–17). All offerings are inclusive of children regardless of diagnosis or labels and are designed to support both neurodivergent and neurotypical children learning together.
Resilient Kids Club is part of Joy Melton Psychoeducational Services, which also provides individual therapeutic coaching, psychoeducational evaluations, and parent consultation. The practice is an approved direct provider with Step Up for Students, and programs are approved services for families with available scholarship funding.

You now have a long version and a short version that both protect your voice and your reputation.
