SEBASTIAN — Thunderstruck, a Louisville, Kentucky-based AC/DC tribute band, is set to perform at Earl’s Hideaway Lounge on Sunday, delivering a high-energy recreation of the rock legends’ live concerts.
The free event starts at 2 p.m. with an opening set by Kris Olson & the Banned. Organizers advise arriving early for optimal seating and parking at Earl’s Hideaway, located at 1405 Indian River Drive in Sebastian.
Formed in 2015 after evolving from earlier iterations, Thunderstruck has built a national following through sold-out shows and appearances at major venues like House of Blues, as well as festivals such as Pensacola Tribute Fest and Parr Fest. The band has also performed live streams for brands including Number Juan Tequila and Monsters of Rock.
The five-piece group aims to capture AC/DC’s signature sound and stage presence. Guitarist Kyle LaPato emulates Angus Young’s style from the 1980s and 1990s, while vocalist Bobby Lee Stamper covers the ranges of both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. The rhythm section features Kevin Feller on guitar, Corey Baetz on drums and Chris Jones on bass.
The setlist will include AC/DC classics like “Back in Black,” “Highway to Hell,” “Shot in the Dark,” “Shook Me All Night Long” and “Hell’s Bells,” along with deeper cuts.
Thunderstruck’s performances emphasize the band’s passion for AC/DC’s music, focusing on recreating the original group’s contagious energy and familiarity for fans.
