The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, along with several other local and federal agencies, conducted Operation Weeping Willow, a targeted, large-scale investigation into organized crime, which led to the arrests of multiple people on a litany of charges in the Fellsmere area Tuesday.
No one was injured during the operation and there is no danger to the area’s residents.
The action Tuesday was the result of a two-year investigation with cooperation from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Homeland Security, the FBI, as well as the Fellsmere, Sebastian and Vero Beach police departments.
